This has been happening more and more often. Initially, I didn't see a big deal with it but recently...it's bugging me.

I hire models for most of my nude shoots. I do this based on experience and their current portfolios. If a model doesn't have experience or chooses not to show it in their portfolio, I'll gladly work a TFCD (Trade for CD) arrangement with them (and have a few times).

Some of these models make a good chunk of change. Most are worth it, imo. They bring a LOT of posing and creative inspiration to the shoot. I'm happy to part with the investment for the final results.

I've noticed a trend where paid models seem to expect images on TOP of the money. Some ask for them. Some simply ask when they'll be available. A few have even grabbed them from MY portfolios and copied them into their own.

I don't get this. I paid for the shoot. The images are mine to do with as I please. If you'd like one/some, drop your rates. Or ask to BUY one. But why should I be giving these away as part of the compensation?

What's the consensus among both models and photographers? Am I out of line here?
